Karen Jones

Karen brings over 20 years of environmental experience in her role as Director of Tribal Frog Pty Ltd. After her Bachelor of Applied Science (Parks, Recreation & Heritage) from Charles Sturt University, Karen became a cave research officer for Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust. After a couple of years at the Caves Trust she set off on 3 years travelling overseas.  Karen worked as for 18 months as an outdoor educator for the YMCA in the beautiful states of Michigan and Minnisota in the USA. Other travels included spending time in many of the natural wonders of our world including Okavango Delta, Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountains, Galapogos Islands, Machu Picchu, Amazon rainforest, Serengeti plains and whale watching in New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and Canada.

Upon returning to Australia Karen worked for Conservation Volunteers Australia as a Green corps and Volunteer Supervisor.Karen Settled in North East Victoria in 2000 and through a range of local and state government roles she has built a reputation as a go-to person for environmental and sustainability issues.

Karen is regularly engaged in facilitation, consulting and strategic planning roles because of her networking ability, her environmental knowledge and her ability to get jobs completed. One of Karen's highlights has been her involvement in the creation and implementation of the School Environment Education Directory (SEED) project that brings environmental sustainability into the classroom and curriculum of 145 schools.
